Takamella Williams

Hi, I’m Takamella Williams, the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist for Wake ThreeSchool. I am passionate about helping young children, teachers, and families thrive by creating supportive learning environments where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success.

I bring more than a decade of experience in education, coaching, and child development, with a background that includes classroom teaching, early childhood coaching, and social-emotional learning support. In my role, I partner with teachers and directors to strengthen classroom practices, build positive relationships, and support children’s social-emotional growth and school readiness.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and religion and am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Children and Adolescents. I am also a Certified Trauma and Resilience Specialist–Clinical (CTRSC), which fuels my commitment to supporting the whole child through trauma-informed and relationship-based practices.
I believe that strong social-emotional skills are the foundation for lifelong learning, healthy relationships, and overall well-being. My goal is to equip educators with practical strategies and meaningful support so they can confidently meet the needs of every child in their care.

When I’m not working with teachers and classrooms, I enjoy continuing my studies in counseling, learning about child development and neurodiversity, and spending time with my family.
