Project CATCH (Community Action Targeting Children Who Are Homeless)

Project CATCH focuses on helping local shelters to better identify and care for the general health needs of young children in homeless families. This is done through training programs for staff, support for parent/child relationships within the shelter community, and linkage to better medical and physical resources. Nine area programs collaborate to implement this program and make the project a success.

The social, educational and economic benefits for investing in our future workforce are so clear that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce released a 2010 report saying, "Early childhood education has a tremendous impact on the national viability of the American dream."
