Partner Agencies & Activities

Wake County SmartStart (WCSS) works as a grant-making organization, funding community programs that work to address the school readiness needs of young children and their families. In addition to programs directly managed by Wake County SmartStart, 11 “partner agencies” also receive support. Together, 12 local agencies provide services through 23 programs. In fiscal year 2014-2015 WCSS will invest $18,709,797 in programs to improve the lives of young children.
