Quality Supplement Training Requirements and Resources Updated - January 2, 2013

Wake County SmartStart funds Subsidy Quality Supplement payments to 4 and 5 star child care facilities that meet certain training requirements.

Upcoming Trainings:
No trainings specific to Quality Supplement are currently planned, but you may check the following for CSEFEL and Conscious Discipline training options.
Child Care Services Association: periodically offers CSEFEL Pyramid Model trainings. 919-403-6950
Project Enlightment: periodically offers Conscious Discipline trainings.  919-856-7774

Online Training Option: FLIP IT Transforming Challenging Behaviors, 5 hours, Cost $35 from Devereux Center for Resilient Children. FLIPIT
(This training may not count for DCDEE credit.)

Other trainers can count toward the requirement if they meet the following qualifications:
Conscious Discipline: Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor or completed the Conscious Discipline Advanced Institute (CD2).
CSEFEL Pyramid Model: Completed Train the Trainer training
DECA: DECA Certified Trainer or completed FLIP IT Train the Trainer training.
